Classic Game Room – iCADE arcade joystick and cabinet review
Ion Audio iCade review. Classic Game Room reviews the iCADE arcade joystick and cabinet for the iPad! Ion Audio iCade works with your iPad to bring arcade style gaming with real arcade controls into supported iPad games like Atari’s Greatest Hits collection, Air Attack HD and Frogger 30th Anniversary Edition. Available at ThinkGeek.com, the iCade connects to your iPad with BlueTooth (so there aren’t any wires) and has a good joystick and eight buttons.

does this work with an ipod

Thanks for the review. Looking forward to further reviews on iCade specific games.

I thought the concept of this was absolutely amazing, definitely a must if you got an ipad and game on it frequently

OMG, i want one !!!

why didnt the 25 cents thing light up?

maybe the ipad in the future will have a holographic arcade joystick(can you imagine that?haha) XD

@infringementMAN Of course it’s a novelty. The iPad is a novelty! You need a $500 Kindle knock off that can’t stream from a library of 13,000 movies, can’t stream from an endless online library of books, can only play mediocre, overpriced Apple content, and comes equipped with mono rather than stereo speakers? Of course it’s a novelty. So is the iPad.

@AMYuntold It really is just a novelty. Look I’m playing games on my iPad using 1980’s (ish) technology!
[Translate]
Let’s turn everything into touch based, yay!
…Let’s realize, what everybody knew at the beginning, that it is only good for the 10% of games!
……Let’s design various pricey accessories to – somewhat – make up for this error!
Don’t get me wrong, this looks nice!… It is… an arcade cabinet…
…arcade is fun!..
The problem is that it’s an ipad, practically on lifesupport.

I’m not gay, but if I was, I would be very turned on by mark.

@epicsmurfyzz sony’s power port changing from the PS1 and PS3?
herp derp. are you serious?
[Translate]
@khoraski give 1 example
[Translate]
@epicsmurfyzz you never know. companies change them up all the time when you least expect it.
[Translate]
@khoraski wwell even if the the ipad steevedadon comes out next weeks the’ve been using the same ports since the first ipod, so i doubt using connecters wont work on the ‘IPAD53′

@Lachlant1984 Let’s hope they come out with the iCADE 2 soon.
[Translate]
I want this shit
[Translate]
@MrJohnathanRamirez T_T No, my internet peers think I am stupid and believe an iPad to be the same as an Xbox360
[Translate]
@Lachlant1984 because the next iPad that would come out in a week might not have the same connectors, and even if it does the next next iPad that would come out a week later might not ports either. or a year later when iPad 53 is out, it could have been completely redesigned with no ports at all but bluetooth may still be functional.

He said free with the icade I think he meant with the atari app
[Translate]
@TheMaveroid ,ha, whatever you say, lol
[Translate]
@MrJohnathanRamirez I am sorry, I thought it was actually a piece of hardware that was only made for gaming that I hook up to my TV.
Sorry if I sound rude, but I am not that much of an idiot. I was just referring to all the Atari and Arcade games that make it a cool game plattform… Almost like a CONSOLE, perhaps?
[Translate]
@TheMaveroid ,it’s not a console
[Translate]
@ProtosMerkabah Yeah and capcom arcade, fast striker, king of fighters, beat that board walk, splatter house, and streets of rage. Wow my head is spinning, need to sit dow…………..
[Translate]
@alljordanz What do you mean? They made the Apple Pippin’ which was a home console, duh.
